Yabai-Fansubs

Yeah, this is for real. We skipped 16 episodes of To LOVE-Ru and a good part of the storyline just to work on this. Of course, the anime series is not dropped, we’re just working separately on the OVA too.

Will you do the same with Seto?
Well, no. You see, this here is a joint project with AniYoshi. AniYabai is neither a new group nor did both groups merge together, it’s just how we call the joint (AnimeYoshi + Yabai). AniYoshi worked on To LOVE-Ru before, but had to drop it. Furthermore, our TLR releases contain AniYoshi’s scripts, though we always do an additional TLC and re-edit them. So this is kind of a special situation.

The DVD was out for almost 50 days now. What took you guys so long?
All the stuff that’s supposed to be hardsubbed (Karaoke, TS, Logo) was ready 1 week after the DVD got released. The only thing we were lacking was a translated script. Both the translator who was supposed to work on this and his backup disappeared. Two weeks ago we finally found a new translator. And here we are now, releasing the first episode of the To LOVE-Ru OVA series.

We suggest you to only watch this if you’ve read the manga and/or seen all episodes of the anime series, since the OVA continues the plot right from where the story in the series left off.

Now, what is this episode about, anyway? I won’t say too much, just that Rito is turning into a girl as you can see below in the pic. Now, if this isn’t an awesome trap… I won’t say any more than that, just watch the episode! (Lots of ecchi is awaiting you!)

On a side note, at around 00:36 we translated the line as “Love began when I first started loving you”. You might wonder why we did that:
<Ulrezaj> 故恋の始まるは私から好きになり
<Ulrezaj> so it literally say “the start of love is my falling in love”
<Ulrezaj> so it’s like
<Ulrezaj> the beginning (of my love life) was my first love (you)
<Ulrezaj> but it isn’t that long a line so I turned it into what you saw :P
<Ulrezaj> in the end, it’s a messed up song; don’t put too much thought into it
